Subject: Some information on Powertech Uranium Corporation
Good day,
Attached is a pdf file of a powerpoint some of the Coloradoans Against Resource Destruction team has
put together on the history of Powertech Uranium Corporation and some of their board members. We
have been very careful about checking our facts and even had an attorney double check our work before
sending it on. We feel confident this information is all factual and verifiable.
The historical facts surrounding spills and failures makes us very concerned about this proposed
uranium mining project. The state of Colorado just cannot afford to have any of our water polluted by
radioactivity or toxic heavy metals.
Please continue to work diligently to protect our water supplies from the threat of uranium mining.
The risk is too great. The cost is too high. The unknowns are too many.
For more information and current media releases please visit our website: www.nunnglow.com
Thank you so much for your hard work.
Sincerely,
Robin Davis

Hello Commissioner Rob Masden:
I live in Fort Collins, Larimer County and am very concerned about the proposed uranium mine
near Nunn, Colorado. I fear it will cause irreparable damage to the well-being of Northern
Colorado and its residents, including wildlife. I believe any profit gained by a few people from
uranium mining will be greatly outweighed by the devastation it will cause to our land, water,
and health.
I ask that you consider the impact uranium mining will have on our land and urge you to do
everything in your power to stop this project.
Respectfully,
Erin Grogan

Dear Weld County Commissioners,
I am writing this letter to voice my concerns regarding the proposed uranium
mining in Nunn, Colorado. As a Colorado native I am vehemently opposed to
this proposal due to the negative impacts uranium mining will have on our land,
water and health. This project does not protect the interests of local people,
Coloradoans, or anyone likely to be affected by contamination of the Fox Hills
Aquifer. I know that you have the power to shut down the current proposed
mining project. Don't let Powertech or any other company jeopardize Colorado's
environment by mining uranium. I urge you to act quickly and stop the uranium
mining, before the damage is done.
Sincerely, ,l

Subject: Uranium mining in Weld County
We are urging you to take action and stop the Power Tech Company from mining uranium on
the 5, 700 acres of rural land in northwest Weld County. This company admits that there
will be adverse affects of the mining on property values near the mining sites. They fail
to answer questions on who will monitor the water and air quality at the sites. They are
also unable to specify where the water is coming from for the "SAFE" mining techniques
which they propose to use.
With the tremendous winds in this part of the county carrying airborne particulates many
miles, the shortage of water for agriculture purposes and the potential to exhaust an
aquifer, this seems to be a project that opposes the health and safety of the population
and the environment.
Please don't let "Big Money" once again run rough shod over the middle class, hard working
people in this county and state. We are hearing nothing from our elected officials and
feel that we've voted for ineffective government representatives. Renew our faith in the
government by taking action agaiinst this catastrophe! ! ! !

Subject: Uranium Mining
Dear Sir:
I went to the meeting in Nunn on Thursday, July 19, to the meeting put on by Powertech to
supposedly answer our questions and concerns about their proposed uranium mining.
What a joke! It was the most undisguised propoganda campaign I have ever witnessed.
Pretty girls greeted us sweetly as we entered, handing us a "welcome packet" ; there was
no chairs, no microphone, only tables set up around the gym with slick graphic
presentations and men to explain them.
I asked one of the Powertech emplyees when the "Question and Answer" session would start;
she said sweetly that I was welcome to ask any of the men at the tables any question I
liked.
I feel that the main objective from Powertech was to diffuse any dissent or hard
questions.
As I left in disgust, I noticed a small box sitting on a chair near the door that said,
"Comments" . There was no paper nearby, nor pencils to write comments.
I am angry and frustrated. I feel Powertech gave me the Snow Job.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Allison Berry

Subject: Uranium Mining
I am a resident of Wellington here in Northern Colorado. I am very concerned about the effects of
uranium mining in Weld County as proposed by Powertech. Everything I've read about uranium
mining, other than the profitability, has been negative. The health and environmental risks seem
too high to me. I hope that my elected officials are more concerned about the "greater good" than
about profits. Please ask yourselves if you would want this type of activity in your backyard. If the
answer is no, then please take a stand to keep it out of our backyards as well. Thank you for your
time.

Dear Weld County Commissioners;
I have just learned that permission has been given to a Canadian company to search for
uranium in Weld County near Nunn. I am strongly opposed to mining of uranium based on
Health and safety concerns - as well as property values issues. We know that this mining
could damage water supplies in the region. Please stop this project.

Dear Weld County Commissioners,
I am writing this letter to voice my concerns regarding the proposed uranium
mining in Nunn, Colorado. As a long-time resident of Colorado I am vehemently
opposed to this proposal due to the negative impacts uranium mining will have on
our land, water and health. This project does not protect the interests of local
people, Coloradoans, or anyone likely to be affected by contamination of the Fox
Hills Aquifer. I know that you have the power to shut down the current proposed
mining project. Don't let Powertech or any other company jeopardize Colorado's
environment by mining uranium. I urge you to act quickly and stop the uranium
mining, before the damage is done.
