BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
DECEMBER 26, 2007
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, December 26, 2007, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair Pro-Tem and on roll call the following
members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner David E. Long, Chair- EXCUSED
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William F. Garcia - EXCUSED
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jennifer VanEgdom
Controller, Barb Connolly
MINUTES: Commissioner Masden moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of December 19, 2007, as printed. Commissioner Rademacher seconded the motion, and it carried
unanimously.
WARRANTS: Barb Connolly, Controller, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount
of $133,596.84. Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the warrants as presented by
Ms. Connolly. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES - WELD
COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF OPTOMETRISTS AND OPHTHALMOLOGISTS: Ms. Connolly stated the
amendment will increase the reimbursement level from$22,000.00 to$38,000.00,and all other provisions
of the agreement will remain the same. Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve said amendment.
Seconded by Commissioner Masden, the motion carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted
by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
