RE: Public Records Request re: Powertech Uranium Corporation
Dear Mr. Zaffos:
Pursuant to your written request, dated November 2, 2007, I am writing to confirm that to the best
of my knowledge the Weld County Commissioners, Clerk to the Board's Office, and County
Attorney's Office, have not conducted any meetings, nor is there any related documentation or
communications, with Powertech Uranium Corporation. The County Attorney did indicate the
Department of Planning Services staff has met with representatives of said Corporation, therefore,
I am forwarding your request to the Thomas Honn, Director of Planning Services.

Dear Ms. Gesick:
My name is Joshua Zaffos and I am the news editor for the Rocky Mountain Chronicle, a
weekly newspaper based in Fort Collins. I am writing to make a public records request
under the conditions of the Colorado Open Records Act, SS24-72-201 et seq.
I would like to view or receive copies of the following:
• All correspondence, via email or direct mail,between Powertech Uranium Corp.
and Weld County officials, including the board of county commissioners and any
departmental staff.
• A list of all meetings and any minutes, memos or notes from or related to those
meetings, between Powertech and Weld County officials, including the board of
county commissioners and any departmental staff.
If these records are not in your custody or control, will you please notify me and state in
detail to the best of your knowledge the reason for the absence of the records, their
location, and what person or persons has custody or control of the records, as required by
SS24-72-203(2), C.R.S.
Will you please set a date and hour within three working days, when the records will be
available for inspection, pursuant to SS24-72-203(3).
If you deny access to any of the above public records, will you please provide a written
statement of the grounds for the denial, citing the law or regulation under which access is
denied, as required by SS24-72-204(4).
Thank you in advance for fulfilling this request. I would ask that you notify me before
printing any pages that I will be charged for beyond $20. You can reach me with
