HomeMy WebLinkAbout20081911.tiff RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGARDING VIOLATION VI#0600543 AGAINST DANIEL LACOE FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Daniel LaCoe, VI#0600543, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 8th day of July, 2008, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Daniel LaCoe, property owner, was present at said hearing, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners determined the property was in compliance and deems it advisable to dismiss said matter. REMEDY 2008-1911 Violation Summary Report In an effort to close out some of my older violation cases, I ran across this case. As we previously discussed, in order to maintain more than 1 (one) COMMERCIAL VEHICLE on a property or to conduct commercial welding or repair a Use by Special Review Permit is required; otherwise, all but 1 (one) Commercial Vehicle shall be removed from the property and shall not return for any period of time (even temporarily). Lastly, since this lot is not part of a Subdivsion or recorded town site, you are allowed to keep 2 (two) semi trailers as storage units, provided they maintain current license plates and do not deteriorate to a derelict condition (all tires must be inflated and operational, etc). If they are utilized as storage only and are not removed or relocated on the property, simply provide copies of the current registrations for them. I explained that I sent out a letter to all the residents. He said he knew, he got one too. He said that made him feel a little better. He said he wouldn't mind going to the BOCC and having his opinion heard. He said if it wasn't for him, no one would have cleaned the roads (removing the snow).
