RE: ACCEPT MOTORGRADER SWAP PROPOSAL - POWER EQUIPMENT COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Motorgrader Swap Proposal, on behalf
of the Department of Public Works, from Power Equipment Company, P.O. Box 28, Denver,
Colorado 80201-0028, with terms and conditions being as stated in said proposal, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to accept said
proposal, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, the Motorgrader Swap Proposal from Power Equipment Company, be and
hereby is accepted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 10th day of September, A.D., 2008.

Dear Mel;
As we have discussed, I have come up with a breakdown of the pricing for the above mentioned graders.
Taking into account the specifications from your last bid, and the buy-back that is in place on these machines, I
propose the following:
Unit sln: 35672
1 new Volvo G940: $163,624.00
Add AWD option: $ 25,995.00
Add front fenders: $ 2,356.00
Add rear fenders: $ 1,657.00
TOTAL: $193,632.00
Less buy-back amount ($108,000.00)
Sales price: $ 85,632.00
Unit s/n: 35671
1 new Volvo G940 $163,624.00
Add front fenders: $ 2,356.00
Add rear fenders: $ 1,657.00
TOTAL: $167,637.00
Less buy-back amount ($108,000.00)
Sales Price: $ 59,637.00
These sized machines should be available from the factory in less than 90 days. All of the above quoted
machines would be equipped with the 11 speed Volvo transmissions, as they were in the recent grader lease
bid.
Please let me know as soon as possible as to how you would like to proceed.

Attached are the final numbers from Power Equipment for replacement of machine #15820109
and #15820110 . He said this was approved by the BOCC in work session and should be ready

$132 off both machines and we will have numbers to present to our superiors.
