RE: APPROVE OPTION LETTER #1 FOR INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR
PROVISION OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES IN NON-URBANIZED AREAS
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with Option Letter#1 for the Intergovernmental
Agreement for Provision of Public Transportation Services in Non-Urbanized Areas between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of
Transportation, commencing January 1, 2009, and ending December 31, 2009, with further terms
and conditions being as stated in said Option Letter, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Option Letter, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Option Letter #1 for the Intergovernmental Agreement for Provision of
Public Transportation Services in Non-Urbanized Areas between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Transportation be, and hereby
is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said Option Letter.

In accordance with Paragraph(s) 33 of contract routing number 08-HTD-00110, between the
State of Colorado, Department of Transportation, and Weld County the State hereby exercises
the option for an additional term of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 (original
contract date: February 22, 2008-December 31, 2008) and no change to the amount of
goods/services at the same rate(s) as specified in any Exhibits, option letters, or amendments
executed against original contract.
The total contract value to include all previous amendments, option letters, etc. is

CRS§24-30-202 requires the State Controller to approve all State Contracts.This Contract is not valid
until signed and dated below by the State Controller or delegate. Contractor is not authorized to begin

obligated to pay Contractor for such performance or for any goods and/or services provided hereunder.
