RE: APPROVE REQUEST FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FROM DALE'S
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, LLC, AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN ANY
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a request for the purchase of certain
equipment, described within Exhibit A, by the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,on behalf of the Department of Public Works,
from Dale's Environmental Services, LLC, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request for the purchase of certain equipment, described within
Exhibit A, by the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, from Dale's
Environmental Services, LLC, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign any necessary documents.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 3rd day of September, A.D., 2008.

Would it be possible to place a resolution on the Agenda for Wednesday regarding the purchase of a used item of
equipment?
I met with the Board on this about a week ago. The item to be purchased is a 1994 Chevrolet Kodiak Vac Con
Combination Unit, vin# 1GBP7H1J2RJ110558 and the purchase price is $75,000.
Will I do the resolution or will you guys?

Advantages of vacuum truck & jet washer vs. trailer jet washer:
• Mobility with more efficiency
• Not require a back-hoe on-site for drainage
• Present system has 300' of 3/4" hose with 1500 p.s.i. of water pressure with 45C
gallon water tank
• New system would have 600' of 1" hose with 3000 p.s.i. of water pressure with
600 gallon water tank
• Would pothole utilities for engineering dept. for capital improvements
• Would pothole utilities for Operations Dept for new culvert installations, new
bridge construction, CBC box installations
• Would use as a pump to keep work area dry [flooded citizens, in ROW areas
I realize the age of this unit would be of some concern. I feel this unit has been well
maintained, and is in turn key fashion ready to go and is a proven unit. This unit is
presently in use thru a vendor we currently use. Our main concern is when we need a
vendor to contact during weekends, holidays, after hour calls, we are very limited. Thi
unit requires very minimal training.
