Home My WebLink About830159.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CONTINUANCE OF USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW HEARING TO OCTOBER 26, 1983, CONCERNING A DOG KENNEL OPERATION - MICHAEL J. STEPANICK WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a Use by Special Review hearing for a dog kennel operation for Michael J. Stepanick was scheduled for August 31, 1983, at 2 : 00 p.m, as stated in the Notice dated August 3 , 1983 , a copy of said Notice being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and WHEREAS, at the hearing of August 31, 1983, the Board, after consideration, deemed it advisable to continue the hearing until October 5, 1983 , at 2 : 00 p.m. in order to allow the Board to further study said request, and WHEREAS , at the hearing of October 5 , 1983 , it was determined that the hearing before the Weld County Planning Commission, to precede the hearing before the Board of County Commissioners, had not been properly published, therefore, the Weld County Planning staff requested a continuance to October 26, 1983 , at 2 : 00 p .m. , and WHEREAS , the Board, after consideration, deems it advisable to approve the request for a continuance of this matter to October 26, 1983 , at 2 : 00 p.m. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Use by Special Review hearing for a dog kennel operation for Michael J. Stepanick be, and hereby is, continued to October 26 , 1983 , at 2 : 00 p.m. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk to the Board shall publish a notice of continuance of said hearing. Russell Anson Planning Department Representatives, Rod Allison and Michael Mullen The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated September 7, 1983, and duly published September 22, 1983, in the LaSalle, Leader, a public hearing was held for the purpose of considering the application for a Use by Special Review, dog kennel operation, for Michael J. Stepanick. This hearing was continued from August 31, 1983. Rod 'Allison, representing the Planning Department stated that the Planning staff and the applicant requested this hearing be continued to October 26, 1983, because signs were not posted and notices had not been sent for the Planning Commission hearing which had been scheduled, necessitating postponing the Planning Commission hearing to October 18, 1983. Commissioner • Brantner moved that this hearing be continued to October 26, 1983, at 2:00 P.M. The motion was seconded by Commissioner N. Carlson and carried unanimously.
