The letter is signed by Darrell Felton and states that in the event a dust problem arises, they will treat it with water or Mag-Chloride. This is acceptable to the Department. Due to the extensive mowing and weed control problems,the Weld County Board of Commissioners waived all landscaping requirements,and due to the fact that we are displaying cars, screening would not be necessary. Regarding the waste handling,the refuse is collected by B&C Refuse, P. O. Box 484,Platteville, CO, 80651 (970)785-2908. The type of said waste is light trash and has no chemicals or hazardous waste. Regarding, maintenance all weeds will be kept down by a combination of mowing and herbicidal spraying. Regarding all landscaping/screening issues,the Board of Commissioners waived this requirement. Please see attached minutes. Regarding the CDOT requirements and concerns, it,too,was discussed at the Board of Commissioners meeting, and the property lessee is advised that the crossover lane will be closed sometime in the future. CDOT states that there is adequate drainage and fencing. Please see attached minutes. Regarding the concerns by the town of Milliken,the Board of Commissioners waived the landscaping and screening requirements. The town of Milliken also checked the response box that states,"We have reviewed the request and find no conflicts with our interests." The property lessee agrees to keep weeds and trash controlled. The towns of Platteville and Gilcrest did not voice any concern. Regarding the issue of storm water drainage,the small,narrow property drains to the front drainage ditch,which has been acknowledged as adequate. We feel that we have addressed all concerns through this letter and additional letters to other concerned parties. Thank you for your time and consideration. I have read the letter by the Assistant Building Official, and do not currently have plans for additional buildings or improvements. Regarding the dust issue, a mistake was made by the surveyor. The surface is in fact gravel and not dirt,as previously reported. Regarding the waste collection issue, all trash is non-hazardous and is collected by B&C Refuse of Platteville P. O. Box 484, Platteville, CO, 80651, (970)785-2908.
