Survey, Environmental, and Wildlife Studies Update
Dear Landowner:
Colorado Interstate Gas (CIG) is completing survey, environmental and wildlife
studies along the proposed Raton Expansion pipeline alignment. Scheduled date for
completion of studies is July 1, 2008.
Archaeologists will be inspecting the perimeters of the proposed route for any
signs of historical or archaeological significance. Wildlife personnel will be searching
for signs of wetland habitat, raptor nests, including specific types of vegetation and plant
life. CIG employees have been informed to enter properties of landowners who have
granted previous permission to CIG for access.
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Public Scoping meetings will be held
this summer and all landowners impacted by this project will be informed of the
locations, dates and times of these meetings at a later date.
CIG is scheduled to meet and acquire rights of way from landowners beginning
September 8, 2008.
