Dear Mr. Carlson,
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has received
and is considering an application for housing assistance in your
jurisdiction for 1-10 units under the Section 8 Existing Housing
Program to be administered by the Colorado Department of Institutions -
Publis Housing Agency, 761-0220 X217.
The Public Housing Agency (PHA) is requesting assistance for the
following dwelling units:
Section 8 Existing Program for Elderly and Handicapped

Pursuant to Section 213(c) of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974, we must determine whether or not there is a need for such
housing assistance, taking into consideration any applicable State
Housing Assistance Plan, and that there is or will be available in the
area, public facilities and services adequate to serve the housing
proposed to be assisted. An application may be approved only if our
determination is in the affirmative.
We invite you to submit to us all comments or information you or
your unit of government deem relevant to our determination. While we
will not be bound by any such comments or information, all relevant
comments or information you provide us will be considered.

We will consider only comments or information from you received
by us no later than 30 days after the date on which you receive this
letter. If your unit of government does not intend to submit any
comments or information, please notify us as soon as possible so
that we may expedite the making of our determination.
