Dear Commissioners:
On November 3, 1982, we received a copy of
your November 3, 1982 agenda. On that agenda
was an item SE #170 -- Colorado Landfill, Inc.
As you know, the Town of Erie is quite con-
cerned regarding landfill issues in the south-
west area of Weld County. You have received
comments on the Horst-Dearmin proposal, a copy
of a Town Resolution and a home-owners association
letter regarding bird populations recently; all in
response to various landfill proposals and activity.
Would it be possible, in the future, for your
staff (Planning and Health Departments) to refer
all landfill issues, no matter how minor, to
the Town of Erie prior to Commission action? Vie
are only concerned with landfill issues in the
Southwest area of Weld County. We would appreciate
your aid in directing the notification effort
regarding this very controversial topic.
