Re: Ace Royalties, LLC, et al. v. Noble Energy Production, Inc., et al.
Dear Bruce:
Enclosed you will find a check in payment to the Weld County Board of Commissioners
for its share of the July 1 , 2007 through December 31 , 2007 true-up payment, which is a part of
the settlement between our clients and Noble Energy Production, Inc. ("Noble").
As you know, this payment from Noble was supposed to have been made several months
ago. Noble, however, encountered some difficulties with respect to the implementation of the
agreed upon royalty payment methodology for the period of time of July 1 , 2007 through
December 31 , 2007, and accordingly it was necessary for us to go through an accounting process
with Noble and its attorneys, to properly determine the payments which should be made to each
of our clients for this July 1 , 2007 through December 31 , 2007 time period.
Needless to say, I was not pleased that a delay occurred in the timing of Noble's payment
because of Noble's difficulties, but I am pleased that this issue has been satisfactorily resolved.
