You are receiving this letter because either our pipeline runs through your property or you are an adjacent landowner. CIG will conduct two hydrostatic pressure tests of its underground 22 inch diameter natural gas pipeline (CIG Line 5A) that runs approximately north/south through the Greeley and Ault area (approximately 16 miles of total pipe to be tested). The test will be divided into two sections. 1). South Test Section—From the north side of 24`h Street (south side of Highland Hills Golf Course)just east of 59`h Avenue to CIG Block Valve 5, located west of Weld County Road 70 and 31 intersection (north of Greeley). The test segment of pipe will run from the Highland Hills Golf Course, Hunter's Cove Subdivision, and continue up to the south side of Weld County Road 70 (CIG Block Valve 5). 2). North Test Section —From CIG's Block Valve 5 (south side of County Road 70, west of County Road 31) up to CIG's Block Valve 6 located on the south side of County Road 88, just west of County Road 31. CIG will first remove the natural gas from the pipeline and then fill the south section with water. The pipeline will be placed under pressure for a minimum of 8 hours to check for any possible defects in the pipeline. CIG personnel will be on scene to inspect and monitor this operation, as well as respond to any issues. If a leak is detected, water in the pipeline will indicate the area of the leak so it can then be repaired or replaced. This might result in water being seen temporarily on local streets or in other areas. Customers within the tested area should not expect any interruption of service. Local authorities have been notified of this work. The procedure will then be repeated for the northern section. CIG will begin blowing down the pipeline April 28th and then begin the process of excavating the dig sites necessary to cut and cap the pipe. On the week of May 5th, CIG will begin cutting and capping the pipe and start filling the pipe with water for the pressure test. The south section is tentatively scheduled to pressure test at 8:00 AM on May 8`h (Thursday) for a minimum 8 hours. Assuming a successful test of the south section, CIG will then move the water into the north section of the pipe for the second phase of the hydrotest.
