RE: ACCEPT DONATION OF $3,900.00 FROM JAN LEMAY FOR VICTIMS SERVICES,
DIVIDED EQUALLY BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND
GREELEY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Jan LeMay, Criminalist for Weld County Sheriff's Office, wishes to donate
$3,900.00, divided equally between the Weld County Sheriffs Office Victims Services Division and
the Greeley Police Department Victims Services Division, for the benefit of crime victims and their
families, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of Weld County to formally accept all donations via Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the donation from Jan LeMay, of $3,900.00, divided equally between the
Weld County Sheriff's Office Victims Services Division and the Greeley Police Department Victims
Services Division, for the benefit of crime victims and their families, be, and hereby is, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a copy of this Resolution, along with a
letter of appreciation, be forwarded to Jan LeMay.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 3rd day of November, A.D., 2008.

Hello my dear. I am sending this to you because I don't remember who I spoke with in your
office. I was asked to have a letter written and then you would put it on the schedule for
approval. I don't think I have made the cut off time for this week and I will be gone
Monday-Wednesday of next week. Let me know when I would be able to be put on the schedule
and if there is anything else I have to do!
I also think I found the paperwork you were asking about and am sending it interoffice to
you.

I have held a fund raiser and have raised funds to benefit crime victims. I would like to
divide the funds raised between the Weld County Sheriff's Office Victims Services and the
Greeley Police Department Victims Services. The total amount raised is approximately
$3900, divided between the two agencies it will amount to approximately $1950 each.
I would like to money to be used to assist crime victims and their families during
difficult times. I would let the exact use be up to the discretion of the victim services
staff. I envision it being used to help with transportation costs, meals, or other simple
expenses that an indigent crime victim may not be able to afford during a crisis.
Please accept this donation and let me know what I may do to help facilitate it.

Dear Mr ay,
I wanted to express to you my most sincere gratitude for the extremely generous donation
you made to the Weld County Law Enforcement Victim Services Unit. Your
thoughtfulness is appreciated far more than you could ever know. I can assure you that
this donation will be used toward victims who are truly in need and would otherwise be
unable to help themselves.
As you may already know, there are situations when victims suffer the inability to
function at a normal level rendering them more vulnerable. During those circumstances
we offer our support services to help propel them onto a road of recovery and regain that
sense of normalcy following that period of victimization. With your $1,968.06 donation,
we will be able to positively affect the lives of several members of your community.
Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support and trust in the program
that assists victims of crime. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions or
need anything at all.
