RE: STABLISH DISTRIC ORNE SALARY FOR TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2009,

WH -EAS, the :•ar• . County Commis inners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado stat e and e Weld Home ule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering th- aff.' s of Weld County, o orado, and
WHEREAS, -ctio 0- - C.R.S,specifies that commencing January 1, 1997, in every
judicial district, the Dis •ct ttorn sh II receive, as compensation for his services, the sum of not
less than $67,000.00 pe a num. fective January 1, 2009, the minimum amount changes to
$100,000.00, and increas- • 10,000.00 each of the next three years, for a minimum 2012 salary
of$130,000.00. Any amoun ' excess • he State minimum, shall be set by the Board of County
Commissioners of the county . counti-- co • •rising the judicial district, and
WHEREAS,the Board of • my C'mmi sioners of Weld County, Colorado, desires to set
the compensation of the District Att ey f the Nineteenth Judicial District in Weld County in an
amount above the existing minimum p r annum, beginning with a term of January 1, 2009, through
December 31, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO D by the and of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that under the authority ction 20-1-301, C.R.S, the per annum salary for
the District Attorney serving the Nineteenth udicial District located in Weld County, shall be
$130,000.00 per annum beginning January 1,2 9,through December 31,2009,$140,000.00 per
annum beginning January 1,2010,through Deco •GT3'172010,$10',000.00 per annum beginning
January 1, 2011, through December 31, 2011, an• ',160,000.00 per annum beginning January 1,
2012, through December 31, 2012.
