During January 1st through March 31st, 2007 (1q07), there were zero potential Class II NEPS violations. Please see page 6 for DEN NEPS infor- inside this issue: mation. There was no potential 65 DNL noise contour violation for the time period. The 65 DNL DEN ANOMS 2 contour continued to be completely contained within the boundaries of the City and County of Denver. Please see page 5 for DEN contour map. ARTSMAP 2 There was a 8.6% increase in noise complaints received in 1q08, as compared to 1q07 rand use and Zoning 2 (162 vs. 148 in 1q07). The number of households registering at least one complaint in- creased by 17% (23 vs. 19 in 1q07). Five households registered a combined 74% of total DEN Noise Hotline Policy 3 complaints. The percentage of complaints received during Nighttime Aircraft Operations (10:00pm to 7:00am)for 1q08 was 15% of all complaints received for 1q08. Please see Glossary of Terms 3 pages 7 and 8 for complete complaint and operational data. NEPS and RMT Map 4 Rachel B. Noel Middle School Career Day IgosInformation 5-9 The staff of the DEN Noise Office were asked to participate in the Rachel B. Noel Middle School Career Day for eighth graders on Thursday, March 20, 2008. There were close to 20 participants in other job fields in attendance as well. The students asked questions about the education and skills needed to apply for a particular job, and also asked for sug- gestions for appropriate course selections . This event was an educational experience for Special points of the students, and provided them with valuable insight into possible career choices.
