Lugton P.O. Box 158 Ft. Lupton, CO 80621 Dear Council Members: E At today's meeting the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado adopted the attached resolution concerning an offer to purchase the old Ft. Lupton City Hall. The offer is for $170,000 cash for the entire building, land, and parking area, as is. In addition, the offer includes the provision that Weld County would agree to amend the ambulance agreement with Ft. Lupton to provide that Weld County would house the Ambulance Service in the new county facility, thus reducing the City of Ft. Lupton's cost of providing such facilities. In addition to the $170,000 offer, Weld County anticipates expenditures in excess of $30,000 to remodel the facility to accommodate county needs. Based upon our assessment of the facility, we feel that the offer is a fair one to both parties. In addition, it would allow separate facilities for both the city and county for future expansion. Hopefully you will accept the offer contingent upon the approval of your electorate at a special election to authorize disposal of the property. If the offer is acceptable, please notify me or Don Warden at 356-4000 to work with the County Attorney in developing a formal contract contingent upon a favorable election regarding this matter. Very truly yours, BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Chuck Carlson, Chairman CC/ch Encl. Hello
