Dear Commissioner Jerke:
Thank you for your letter dated June 27, 2008 identifying public agency expenses for emergency
services and cleanup following the tornado of May 22, 2008. Weld County and its citizens
responded admirably to the severe weather event. I commend you on your resilience and
courage.
I have asked two of the Division Directors here at DOLA, Hans Kallam and Tony Hernandez,for
analysis of eligible expenses so I can provide a more definitive response to your request. In the
meantime, I wanted you to know that I had received your letter.
