Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632-0758 RE: Inventory of Areas Designated Pursuant to C.R.S. § 30-15-302 Dear Board of County Commissioners: Colorado state law, C.R.S. § 30-15-302, authorizes boards of county commissioners to restrict the use of firearms in unincorporated areas that meet certain statutory requirements, specifically where the average population density meets or exceeds one hundred persons per square mile. The Colorado Office of the Attorney General is currently compiling a list of all such areas designated pursuant to C.R.S. § 30-15-302. It would be very helpful to this survey if you would provide a complete inventory of the area(s) designated within your county, along with copies of the resolutions that designated such area(s), and the legal description(s) of the designated area(s). Please send the documents by mail to Pete Johnson, Legal Intern, Natural Resources and Environment Section, Office of the Attorney General, 1525 Sherman Street, Denver, CO 80203, or you may FAX the documents to 303-866-3558. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Pete Johnson by calling 303-866-6573 or by email at PetenJohnson(iPstate.co.us. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, FOR THE ATTORNEY GENERAL /s/ TIMOTHY J.
