RE : GRANT REQUEST FOR SPEED ZONE CHANGE ON 35TH AVENUE (AKA
CR 35) TO 45 MILES PER HOUR BETWEEN 4TH STREET (AKA CR 601)
AND "F" STREET (AKA 62. 2 or 62. 5) AND 55 MILES PER HOUR
BETWEEN "F" STREET (AKA 62. 2 OR 62. 5) AND "0" STREET
(AKA CR 64)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, has been requested to install certain traffic control
signs for the general safety of the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said request, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined after careful consideration that
it would be in the best interest of, and necessary for the
protection of the general public, to authorize the installation
of 45 mph speed limit signs between 4th Street (aka CR 601)
and "F" Street (aka 62. 2 or 62. 5) and 55 mph between "F"
Street (aka CR 62. 2 or 62. 5) and "0" Street (aka CR 64) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of
Engineering Services be, and hereby is, directed to install
speed limit signs as stated herein.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 7th
day of October, A.D. , 1981.

Subject Commissioner Request for Speed Zoning of 35th Avenue
Chuck Carlson asked to have put on the agenda, as soon as possible,
a resolution to change the speed zoning on 35th Avenue. At present
it is 35 mph between 4th Street and "F" Street and 45 mph between
"F" Street and "O" Street.
He wants to have it changed to 45 mph between 4th Street and "F"
Street and 55 mph between "F" Street and "O" Street.
