RE: ITEMIZED LIST OF LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2009
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2009 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day Thursday, January 1, 2009
Friday, January 2, 2009
(replaces Colorado Day)
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 16, 2009
Memorial Day Monday, May 25, 2009
Independence Day Friday, July 3, 2009
Labor Day Monday, September 7, 2009
Veterans Day Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 26, 2009,
Friday, November 27, 2009
(replaces King's Birthday)
Christmas Thursday, December 24, 2009
(replaces Columbus Day)
Friday, December 25, 2009
FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by
State of Colorado.
District Attorney -- January 2, and November 27, and December 24, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the calendar
year of 2009 as days off for Weld County employees.
