Gentlemen:
This will acknowledge your letter of August 31 , 1984 ,
regarding your request for Cooperative Agreement Program (CAP)
funding assistance in the amount of $500, 000 for renovation of
the Weld County Jail .
While your offer of committed jail space for a period of
10-15 years is very much in the interest of our service, we
have had to commit our funds to several other high priority
projects, and therefore, we will not be able to favorably
consider your request at this time. We gratefully appreciate
your past and continued support in housing Federal prisoners,
and hopefully may be able to participate in a jointly funded
project in a future budget year .
