Subject: Nature's Cycle Organics,Inc.— 1" Quarter Inspection,2008
Dear Mr. Ditson:
On March l0'",2008,the Weld County Dept. of Public Health& Environment conducted a routine inspection of
Nature's Cycle Organics, Inc., located at 21970 WCR 30, in Weld County,Colorado. The purpose of the inspection was
to assess the facility's compliance with "Regulations Pertaining to Solid Waste Disposal Sites and Facilities" as
promulgated by the Solid Waste Disposal Sites and Facilities Act, Title 30,Article 20,part 1, C.R.S., as amended,and
Development Standards set forth in the facility's Use by Special Review Permit Number 1276(USR-1296).
Based on this inspection,the facility is in compliance. The Department has reviewed the Design&Operations Plan
for the facility and has sent comments to Tom Haren at AGPROfessionals. We have not yet seen the revisions to
your plan. Please send the revised document as soon as it is available.
I have also been advised that you will no longer be composting Butterball turkey mortalities. You have indicated
that you would like to take food waste as an alternative. Although your D & O plan allows this waste stream, we
will need to see a characterization of that waste stream.

Dear Mr. Ditson:
On September 11th,2007,the Weld County Dept. of Public Health&Environment conducted a routine inspection of
Nature's Cycle Organics,Inc.,located at 21970 WCR 30,in Weld County,Colorado. The purpose of the inspection was
to assess the facility's compliance with"Regulations Pertaining to Solid Waste Disposal Sites and Facilities" as
promulgated by the Solid Waste Disposal Sites and Facilities Act,Title 30,Article 20,part 1,C.R.S.,as amended,and
Development Standards set forth in the facility's Use by Special Review Permit Number 1276(USR-1296).
Based on this inspection, the facility is in compliance. The violations from the 2"d Quarter Inspection have been
rectified. Nature's Cycle Organics, Inc sampled and tested finished compost for the 20,000 cubic yards of Canyon
compost produced. Additionally,the damaged up gradient well has been repaired and tested.
This Department is currently reviewing the amended Design&Operations Plan for this facility.

COLORADO SUBJECT: USR-1296, Fay and Mary Shultz
The Weld County Public Works Department has reviewed the final drainage report for the Valley
View Greenhouse. The drainage basins and calculations were verified. This report has been
prepared by Pickett Engineering and signed by Chris Pickett, a registered professional engineer.
The Weld County Public Works Department has no conflict with this report.
