RE: APPROVE FIREWORKS DISPLAY LICENSE FOR PLATTE VALLEY HIGH
SCHOOL ON THE 5TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1984
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , Section 12-28-103 , CRS, as amended, permits Weld
County to grant permits for public displays of fireworks by
organizations and groups, and
WHEREAS, Platte Valley High School has applied for a fire-
works display permit for October 5, 1984 , with the display to
take place at the south end of the Platte Valley High School
football field, and
WHEREAS , the Board, after review and consideration, deems
it appropriate to grant said permit .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Platte Valley High
School be, and hereby is, granted a fireworks display permit for
October 5 , 1984 , subject to approval by the Weld County Sheriff ' s
Office; approval by the fire district; and the posting of a
$1 , 000 . 00 bond or other proof of adequate insurance .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of
October, A.D. , 1984 .

Dear Sir:
Included with our application for a fireworks permit are letters
explaining liability coverage for the various agencies involved.
Our local fire department will handle the fireworks. They are
insured by Bartels and Noe. I have spoken with our Mayor, Mr. Delbert
Glover, and his wife Mrs. Bonnie Glover. They are both members of
the Kersey Volunteer Fire Department. I have contacted our Town
Hall and received permission to have the fireworks display. The
Town of Kersey is insured by Royers Agency. The fireworks will be
set off on school property. Our school district superintendent,
Mr. Glen Hanson, has checked with the Lott Agency about coverage
and a letter is included.
1 will appreciate your prompt action on the fireworks license.
This small display of fireworks is planned as part of our Homecoming
festivities on October 5, 1984.

General Liability policy through Penco (Hartford Insurance
Co. ) . However , the fireworks should be strictly supervised
