Please sign in accordance with the enclosed instructions and return one copy in the stamped, self-addressed envelope provided. Please retain the other copy for your files. The decimal figure on the Exhibit 'A' shows Weld County's title amount and is the percentage EnCana uses to disburse the oil revenue. One of our partners takes its gas in kind and is responsible for disbursing its 50% share of the gas revenue. The amount of gas revenue Weld County is paid by EnCana on this well is in direct proportion the amount its royalty interest burdens EnCana's share of the gas. After you and I spoke, you indicated that the interest would be recalculated, but to date, we have not received a new division order. I look forward to hearing from you. These wells were drilled under new spacing rules allowed by the Colorado Oil and Gas Commission to enhance drainage in the DJ Basin. Formerly spacing units conformed to section and half section lines, but under this exception rule, we are allowed to set up units that straddle these lines. Consequently, the spacing units for the Barclay-Crisman 2-4-20 wells cover the S/2 NW/4 and the N/2 SW/4 of Section 20-3N-66W. The Weld County minerals cover the SE/4 NW/4 of the section, contributing 40 of the unit's 160 acres. The royalty interest is calculated as 40 acres/160 acres x a 1/8th royalty interest, or the 3.125% royalty interest as noted on the recent division order. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information regarding this well.
