RE: APPROVE QUIT CLAIM DEED AND ASSIGNMENT OF EASEMENT AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIR TO SIGN - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE HEAD START
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quit Claim Deed and an Assignment of
Easement from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, to Community
Development Institute Head Start, with terms and conditions being as stated in said Quit Claim
Deed and Assignment of Easement, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Quit Claim Deed
and Assignment of Easement, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Quit Claim Deed and the Assignment of Easement from the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on
behalf of the Department of Human Services,to Community Development Institute Head Start be,
and hereby are, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said Quit Claim Deed and Assignment of Easement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 3rd day of November, A.D., 2008.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THIS DEED is made this 3rd day of November, 2008, between the COUNTY OF
WELD, a body politic and corporate of the STATE OF COLORADO, of the first part, and to
Community Development Institute Head Start, a Colorado non-profit corporation, whose address
is 10065 E. Harvard Avenue, Suite 700, Denver, Colorado 80231, of the second part.
WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum
of One Dollar ($1.00), and other good and valuable consideration, to the said party of the first
part in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed
and acknowledged, has remised, released, sold, conveyed and QUIT CLAIMED, and by these
presents does remise, release, sell, convey and QUIT CLAIM unto the said party of the second
part, its heirs, successors and assigns, forever, all the right, title, interest, claim and demand
which the said party of the first part has in and to the following described lots or parcels of land
situate, lying and being in the County of Weld and State of Colorado, to wit:
Lot 2, 31 Road Business Park, County of Mesa, State of Colorado, with street address of
3093 E. '/ Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81504, including all improvements located thereon,
all modular buildings appurtenant thereto, and an associated storm water drainage easement over
adjacent property conveyed by grant recorded on December 9, 2002, in the Office of the Mesa
County Clerk and Recorder at Book 3228, Page 838, Reception Number 2092025.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all and singular the appurtenances
and privileges thereunto belonging or in anywise thereunto appertaining, and all the estate, right,
title, interest and claim whatsoever, of the said party of the first part, either in law or equity, to
the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part, heirs and assigns
forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said party of the first part has hereunto set its hand and
seal the day and year first above written.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, William H. Jerke, Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners of said County of Weld, State of Colorado, on behalf of said County and by
virtue of the Order contained in the Resolution made by said Board of County Commissioners on
the 3rd day of November, 2008, have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said County

ASSIGNMENT OF EASEMENT
FOR GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, in hand paid, the COUNTY OF
WELD, a political subdivision of the STATE OF COLORADO,by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of the County of Weld, whose address is P.O. Box 758, 915 10th Street,
Greeley, Colorado 80632, hereinafter referred to as "Assignor,"hereby assigns to the
Community Development Institute Head Start, a Colorado non-profit corporation, whose address
is 10065 E. Harvard Avenue, Suite 700, Denver, Colorado 80231, hereinafter referred to as
"Assignee," all of Assignor's right, title and interest in and to an easement for storm water
drainage conveyed by grant to the County of Weld, recorded on December 9, 2002, in the Office
of the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder at Book 3228, Page 838, Reception Number 2092025.
Said easement is described in the attached Exhibit "A," and is for the benefit of property
described as Lot 2, 31 Road Business Park, County of Mesa, State of Colorado, with street
address of 3093 E. 'A Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81504.

A tract of land for a drainage easement situated in Lot 7, Block 1, 31 Road Business Park
Subdivision, Mesa County, Colorado, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the NE corner of said Lot 7, the basis of bearing being S71°03'15"W to the NW
corner of said Lot 7;
thence S00°00'00"W a distance of 85.67 feet along the east line of said Lot 7;
thence S72°4627"W a distance of 15.70 feet;
thence N00°00'00"E a distance of 85.17 feet to the north line of said Lot 7;
thence N71°03'15"E a distance of 15.85 feet along said north line to the Point of Beginning.
Said tract contains 1281 sq. ft. more or less.
