RE: APPROVE REORGANIZATION OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION AND PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENTS REGARDING TRANSPORTATION UNIT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,on May 28, 2008, by Resolution#2008-1533,the Board deemed it appropriate
to place the Transportation Unit, formerly associated with the Department of Human Services,
under the Department of Finance and Administration, and under the direction of Monica
Daniels-Mika, Director of Administrative Services, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners has conducted an organizational
evaluation of the Transportation Unit and the Department of Public Works, and as a result has
made the management and legislative decision to place the Weld County Transportation Unit under
the Department of Public Works, and under the direction of Pat Persichino, Director of the
Department of Public Works, effective December 16, 2008, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board that the Transportation Unit, formerly
associated with the Department of Finance and Administration, will be placed under the
Department of Public Works, and will be under the direction of Pat Perischino, Director of Public
Works, effective December 16, 2008.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 15th day of December, A.D., 2008.
