Bill Jerke Original Message From: Todd Sohler [mailto:tlsl6@pvhs.org] Sent: Monday, October 27, 2008 7:54 AM To: Bill Jerke Subject: Please stop Uranium Mining in Northern Colorado With all due respect Mr. Jerke, Please consider the homeowners lives' (my wife and six girls at home) when you are deciding whether or not to grant permits to Powetech Corporation. I own a home that is sandwiched right in between the two potential mining sites. I listed my house for sale last year as it appraised for $478, 000. I had it listed at $389, 900 about $90, 000 less than appraisal and didn't even get close to an offer. I realize the national economy had some play in that factor, but I am convinced that homeowners are "locked up" with ZERO options and property values are plummeting. I have OUTSTANDING credit and will face bankruptcy if the permits are granted as we will not be living in the house if mining is pursued. I worked all my life to build this house and now a Canadian company has the opportunity to come in and destroy everything? Also, please look at all the in-situ mining disasters that have occurred nation and worldwide and ask yourself, "Do I want that in northern Colorado?" Please find it in your heart to deny these permits to Powertech and give us homeowners some "hope" once again. One more thing, can you tell me when/where the ruling will be on the permits? Thank you sir, Todd L.
