HomeMy WebLinkAbout840788.tiff RESOLUTION RE: GRANT EXTENSION OF MOBILE HOME PERMIT NO. 896 - BEATRICE ARAGON WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS , on October 18 , 1983 , Beatrice Aragon received a temporary storage permit from the Department of Planning Services , WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners, on the 20th day of June, 1984, considered the request of Beatrice Aragon to extend the use of one mobile home as a temporary storage beyond six months , and WHEREAS , said mobile home is to be used in an A-Agricultural Zone District on a parcel of land more particularly described as follows : Lot 36, Espanola Subdivision; Nigh NE4, Section 36 , Township 6 North, Range 66 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having heard the testimony, deems it appropriate to extend the mobile home permit to October 18, 1984, for Beatrice Aragon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request of Beatrice Aragon to extend the use of one mobile home as a temporary storage until October 18 , 1984 , on the hereinabove described parcel of land be, and hereby is, granted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Planning staff perform periodic field checks to make sure that the mobile home is not being utilized as a principal dwelling and if said mobile home is found being utilized as a principal dwelling, the Planning staff is directed to report violation to the Board immediately. Legal Description of Parcel: Lot 36, Espanola Subdivision; NWZ NE14, Section 36, T6N, R66W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado Location: Approximately 1 mile north of Greeley; south of WCR 64 and west of North 26th Avenue. The Department of Planning Services staff has reviewed this request and recommends that the request be denied for the following reasons: WILL WILL NOT X Be compatible with the Weld County Comprehensive Plan X Be compatible with the surrounding area X Be in harmony with the character of the neighborhood X Adversely affect the immediate area X Be adequately served by water and sewage disposal facilities X Adversely affect the general health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the area and the County COMMENTS: A field check by staff on June 13, 1984 revealed that the mobile home is being used as a principal dwelling. This is contrary to the intent of the temporary storage classification. The Aragon's applied for their first temporary storage permit on October 18, 1983 and have had sufficient time to correct the situation. Platted lots are fifty (50) feet by eighty-five (85) feet or 4,250 square feet. Lot 36 is a vacant lot owned by Mr. Gutierrez and it is adjacent and south of his residence. A twelve (12) by fifty-five (55) foot, white mobile home is located on Lot 36. A family is using the mobile home as a principal residence. Proper utility hook-ups were not present.
