RE: PROCLAMATION TO AGRICULTURE DAY IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administer the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has received
a request from Mountain States Hardware and Implement Association
urging the proclamation of Thursday, March 18 , 1982 , as
"Agricultura Day" , and
WHEREAS, "Agriculture Day" is a nationwide observance to
promote greater public awareness of America ' s food and fiber
system and to build a better understanding of its contributions
to American Life and its needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that they do hereby
proclaim March 18 , 1982 as "Agriculture Day" in coordination
with the observation and celebration of city and county
governments all across the country.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th
day of March, A.D. , 1982 .
