RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH LEGAL
ACTION AGAINST EVA EHRENFEUCHT FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY
CODE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Eva Ehrenfeucht, ZCV#0800111, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County
Code, and
WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has
not been corrected, and
WHEREAS,on the 9th day of September, 2008,a public hearing was held before the Board
of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and
WHEREAS, Eva Ehrenfeucht was not present or represented at said hearing, although all
parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services staff, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to refer said violation
to the Weld County Attorney's Office for legal action, with an instruction for delay of action upon
such referral until November 9, 2008, to allow adequate time for the tenant to submit a Use by
Special Review application to bring the subject property into compliance and for an inspection of
the property by the Department of Planning Services staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that ZCV#0800111 be, and hereby is, referred to the Weld County Attorney's
Office for legal action against Eva Ehrenfeucht to remedy the violation of the Weld County Code,
and any other persons occupying the properties,any persons claiming an interest in the properties,
and any persons acting in active concert with the identified parties, with an instruction for delay of
action upon such referral until November 9, 2008, to allow adequate time for the tenant to submit
a Use by Special Review application to bring the subject property into compliance.

Okay... so here is the deal. Aim has a guy who is applying for a kennel USR (I only sat in the pre-app meeting
since Ann was out). He has 2 pre-fab sheds that he on his property(1 has not been erected yet). They are 160
sq ft each (40 sq ft too big—thus requiring building permit). Roger told him that he expected the building
permit to run around $50 +/-. I also chimed in and said that there maybe a road access fee and the storm water
fee things. He said oh yah. The property owner wants a guesstimate of how much something like that would
run. If it is too high, it sounds like he'll just cut off 40' on each structure and not get any permits. I told him
that you were out at a training seminar, but would be back next week. He asked if you would call him and let
him know what a 160' structure used to kennel dogs would run (he is only looking at a USR for like 10-15 dogs
in total).

Ann, I'll give you all three cells for the ACO unit. 590-5410, 590-5412, and 397-1321. The house is out by
Promontory and State Farm. It is in the houses on the north side of business 34. There are 5 (I think) houses in
a row right there. One house has a mailbox on a 12 foot pole that says"Air Mail" on it. Mr. Hughes doesn't owne
the property, he is renting it. I can't remeber the owner's name, but it is a really long German-type name. Mr.
Hughes's house is in the middle and has several vehicles and an RV trailer parked in the yard. If you need any
other info, let me know. I hope your day gets better. :)
