RESOLUTION
RE : ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING OIL AND GAS LEASE COVERING CERTAIN
PROPERTY OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - NW1 /4, S14, T8N , R66W
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County , Colorado , and
WHEREAS , Weld County, Colorado , is the owner of vast acres of mineral lands located in
Weld County , Colorado , and
WHEREAS , the Department of Purchasing was authorized to solicit bids for lease of a
portion of said mineral acres not currently leased , and
WHEREAS , no bids were received to lease 160 . 0 net mineral acres , more or less ,
described to-wit :
NW 1 /4/4 of Section 14 , Township 8 North , Range 66 of
the 6th P . M . , Weld County , Colorado
WHEREAS , the Board deems it advisable to dismiss said matter.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County , Colorado , that the bid nomination be , and hereby is , dismissed .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made and seconded , adopted by
the following vote on the 5th day of November, A . D . , 2008 .

Wednesday,November 5th.2008 no later than 8:30 a.m.in the Weld County Purchasing Department,

CENTER,91510'"STREET,GREELEY COLORADO IS A SECURE FACILITY.ALL PERSONS ENTERING

Ben,
I have done the research on the lands you listed and have questions on
two:
- NE4, Sec. 8, T9N, R66W - Our records indicate Weld County only holds
0.5 mineral acres, which would fall under the Small Tract (5 acres or
less) process and does not go to auction; however, you indicate there is
27 acres. Please provide your title evidence for the County Attorney to
review.
- Road ROW, Sec. 32, T10N, R66W (7.27 acres) - I do not have any records
of County owned mineral rights at that legal description. Please
provide your documentation for the County Attorney to review.
Once I have these two resolved, then I' ll proceed with the group as a
whole.

I apologize for not responding earlier, but I did receive your

nomination request. I had originally thought I might be able to

lumped in with the group already set to go to the paper
tomorrow, but
