Please be advised that the Platteville Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on September
9, 2008 @ 7:00 pm. And the Board of Trustees of the Town of Platteville, Colorado, will hold a Public Hearing
on September 16, 2008 at 7:00 pm, at the Platteville Town Hall, 400 Grand Avenue, Platteville, Colorado, for
consideration of annexation for West Farm, Platteville, CO 80651.
Enclosed in the published Notice of Public Hearing for September 9, & 16, 2008 together with a copy of the
public hearing, resolution of substantial compliance and annexation map.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
PLATTEVILLE FINDING SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE WITH THE
REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 31-12-107(1), C.R.S. OF AN ANNEXATION
PETITION, INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS, AND ESTABLISHING THE
DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE WITH
STATE LAW FOR THE ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 602 ACRES, TO BE
KNOWN AS THE WEST FARM ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, C.R.S. § 31-12-101, et seq., the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 ("the
Act"), provides that a municipality may accept petitions for annexation of property upon finding
substantial compliance of the petitions with the Act and annex such properties separately or in a
series considered together; and
WHEREAS, the Town has received a petition for annexation for property known as
West Farm(the "Petition"); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Platteville (the "Board") finds the
Petition to be in substantial compliance with the requirements of C.R.S. § 31-12-107(1); and
WHEREAS,the Board must set a public hearing to determine if the proposed annexation
complies with the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF PLATTEVILLE THAT:
Section 1. The Board finds that the Petition for Annexation for property known as
West Farm, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference, is in
substantial compliance with the requirements of Section 31-12-107(1), C.R.S., and the
annexation proceedings to consider the annexation of the property described therein to the Town
of Platteville have been initiated.
- Section 2. A public hearing is set for a regular meeting of the Platteville Board of
Trustees on September 16, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard,
at the Platteville Town Hall, 400 Grand Avenue, Colorado, to determine if the proposed
annexation complies with the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 and the Platteville Municipal
Code.
Section 3. The Town Clerk shall give such notice as required by law.

Area= 602 acres, more or less.
