Dear Commissioners :
With regret I hereby resign from the Weld County Library
Board effective July 1 , 1983 .
In mid-February I began working in Loveland . Upon the
sale of our Greeley residence , my family and I will be
moving to Loveland . Because of the demands on my time
from being involved in a new business venture in Loveland ,
I do not feel that I can fairly represent the interests
of the people of Weld County on something as important as
library services .
I feel that high quality library services are an essential
service that all citizens should have available at a
reasonable cost . You have been supportive of library
services in Weld County in the past and I urge you to
continue to give your support .
The present Weld County Library staff is excellent . It
is a knowledgeable staff and has worked on behalf of our
library way beyond reasonable expectations . Despite
tightness on the overall County budget , it is imperative
that the library receive strong support from you .
Otherwise , we will lose an important asset that would
be difficult to rebuild at a later time .
Thank you for the opportunity to serve on the Weld County
Library Board . It has been a most worthwhile experience .
