Dear Bill :
Thank you for the note and information you sent me regarding
the serious problems of the road and bridge funding.
As you are aware, we were able to obtain an appropriation of
$100,000 immediately in the bill supplementing the highway
users fund for our problems in southern Weld County with re-
gard to the dam breaking.
In addition, there should be sizeable amounts of money avail-
able to the counties from that $60 million appropriation.
Also, I have this week voted for, and hope to see the House
support, Senate Bill 146 which will add an additional two
cents a gallon to the gasoline tax to help us with these
serious repair problems.
