RE:RE: AMENDMENT TO PERSONNEL POLICY TO INCLUDE SECTION 2 . 3.6.B. (1)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, upon the adoption of the Weld County Personnel Policy
Manual, the Board of County Commissioners did include Sections
2.3.6.B. which indicated specifically that:
B. All sections, other than Production and Bridge,
within the Road and Bridge Department shall have a
normal work week of 40 hours per week, except that
the Weld County Engineer shall have the discretion
to increase the hours normally worked per day and
normally worked per week so as to increase the
operating efficiency of such division.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners , in reviewing this
policy, desires to include to 2 .3.6 .B. the following additions:
B. (1) . When an emergency situation has been identified
(such as snow removal, floods, etc. ) and so declared
by the Board of County Commissioners, then all time
worked by employees below the supervisory level over
forty (40) hours shall be overtime and paid in comp
time at the rate of one and one half times normal
rate. All other comp time earned by personnel below
the supervisory level in the Road and Bridge Department,
other than Production and Bridge during the 50/25
season, shall be computed for comp time at a rate of
one for one.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners that the amendment to the Personnel Policy, Section 2 . 3.6.B.
to include Section 2 .3 .6.B (1) . be, and hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that said amendment as adopted shall become effective immediately.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 17th day
of May, A. D. , 1982.
