RESOLUTION
RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY TREASURER TO CANCEL COUNTY TAX
LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by letter dated February 13, 2008, attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference as Exhibit"A,"John R. Lefebvre,Treasurer of Weld County, has requested authorization
to cancel County Tax Lien Sale Certificate Number 615/03,for the reasons stated in Mr. Lefebvre's
letter, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to cancel said County
Tax Lien Sale Certificate as requested by the Weld County Treasurer, pursuant to Section 39-10-
114(2)(b), C.R.S.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that County Tax Lien Sale Certificate Number 615/03, be, and hereby is,
canceled.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 25th day of February, A.D., 2008.

MEMO TO: WELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
On November 4, 2004, Tax Lien Sale Certificate 568/04 was sold to Thomas C. Green for the
following property:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: FTL 15778 PT NE4 6 1 66 BEG 685'N & 943'W OF SE COR
NW4NE4 W100' S225' E100' N225' TO BEG EXC .216A HWY SITUS: FORT LUPTON

I am hereby asking for TS CERT 615/03 to be canceled because of a second tax lien sale
certificate of purchase was sold on November 4,2004, to Thomas C. Green. Thomas C. Green
made application for a Treasurer's Deed to the property and at that time Dave A. Becker was
notified and given the opportunity to endorse all subsequent taxes onto his certificate and make
application for a Treasurer's Deed himself. Dave A. Becker chose not to take any action. The
Treasurer's Deed was issued to Thomas C. Green. This created the need of a resolution by the
Board of County Commissioners to cancel TS CERT 615/03.
No authorization of refund to due to the circumstances described above.
