RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING TWO APPLICATIONS FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE
FOR DUAL LANGUAGE INSTITUTE FUNDING SUPPORT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with two Applications for Federal Assistance
for Dual Language Institute Funding Support from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Human Services, Family Educational Network of Weld County, to the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services, and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 1st day of December, 2008, at
which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter nine days to allow adequate time
for the Board to conduct a work session.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to
December 17, 2008, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 1st day of December, A.D., 2008.
