How is the proposed rezoning consistent with the policies of the Weld County Code, Chapter 22? If the proposed rezoning is not consistent with the Comprehensive Plan,explain how the proposed rezoning will correct what the applicant perceives as faulty zoning,or how the proposed rezoning will fit with what the applicant perceives as the changing conditions in the area. 2. Section 30 is mapped as underlain by Pierre shale, which is associated with expansive soils and bedrock, and eolian (wind-deposited) soils,which frequently exhibit collapse under loading and wetting. These materials are not typically associated with mineral resources, but can be problematic from a geotechnical perspective if not mitigated through proper engineering,construction and homeowner maintenance practices. Based on the close proximity of Calkins Lake, groundwater levels should be expected to occur at relatively shallow depths.
