WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 3rd day of November, 2008, at which meeting there were present the following members: Chair William H. Jerke, and Commissioners William F. Garcia, David E. Long, Robert D. Masden, and Douglas Rademacher, and WHEREAS, notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present was given to the taxpayer and the Assessor of said County, with said Assessor, Christopher Woodruff, being present, and taxpayer Golden Aluminum, Inc., not being present, and WHEREAS, at the meeting on November 3, 2008, at the request of the petitioner, the matter was continued to November 10, 2008, to allow additional review of the petition, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 10th day of November, 2008, at which meeting there were present the following members: Chair William H. Jerke, and Commissioners William F. Garcia, David E. Long, and Douglas Rademacher,with Commissioner Robert D. Overall, the used primary metals processing equipment market is strong. Many machinery dealers specialize in the sale of mill equipment. The primary approach to evaluate the assets is a sales comparison approach as market data is readily available. The principal market for the machinery and equipment are aluminum mills, coil processing plants, fabrication shops, smelting plants, and scrap/recycling facilities throughout North America. As a result, Golden Aluminum, Inc. contracted with a machinery and equipment appraisal firm to determine market value. These results are identified in the personal property estimated value.
