RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
FOR JOINT FUNDING FROM BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE-CITY OF GREELEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a Memorandum of Understanding for Joint
Funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance between the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County
Sheriff's Office, and the City of Greeley, commencing upon full execution, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said Memorandum of Understanding, and
WHEREAS, at a hearing on August 18, 2008, after review, the Board deems it advisable
to continue the matter to August 25, 2008, in order to schedule a work session with representatives
of the Sheriff's Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Memorandum of Understanding for Joint Funding from the Bureau of
Justice Assistance between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriff's Office, and the City
of Greeley be, and hereby is, continued to August 25, 2008, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 18th day of August, A.D., 2008.
