HomeMy WebLinkAbout20083308.tiff RESOLUTION RE: SETTING THE MILL LEVY FOR THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION FOR WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009 WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, it is necessary, by Colorado statute and by the Weld County Home Rule Charter, to set the mill levy for the annual appropriation for Weld County Colorado for Fiscal Year 2009, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, adopted the annual budget in accordance with the Local Government Budget Law, on December 15,2008, and WHEREAS, the amount of money necessary to balance the budget for County funds is as follows: FUND AMOUNT County General Fund $ 54,012,194 Public Works Fund 7,354,938 Social Services Fund 5,775,000 Capital Expenditures 8,000,000 IGS - Insurance Fund 1,500,000 $ 76,642.132 WHEREAS, the 2008 valuation for assessment for the County of Weld as certified by the County Assessor is $4,560,945,730 for Budget Year 2009.
