RE: DIRECTING CERTIFICATION OF GENERAL HIGHWAY MAPS OF WELD
COUNTY AS OF JANUARY 1 , 1983 , AND AUTHORIZATION FOR THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CERTIFY AS TO ACCURACY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 43-4-207 (2) (b) , CRS 1973 , as amended, pro-
vides for the formula for the County allocation of the Highway
Users Tax Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineer has prepared general high-
way maps of Weld County, Colorado dated January 1 , 1981 , which
correctly reflects the County Road System as of January 1 , 1983 ,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado desires to certify the said general highway maps of Weld
County, Colorado reflecting the County Road System effective Jan-
uary 1 , 1983 , to the Department of Highways, Division of Transpor-
tation Planning, Planning Support Branch, 4201 East Arkansas
Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80222, as required by statute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that said Board sign the
attached Certification showing the general highway maps of Weld
County, Colorado effective January 1 , 1983 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of
February, A.D. , 1983 .

The County of Weld certifies that the General Highway
Maps, revised January 1 , 1981 , plus the 1981 reported and approved
changes, plus 1982 changes as indicated on Appendix A, attached
herewith, are a complete and accurate accounting of the county road
system as of January 1 , 1983.
The County of Weld also certifies that as of January
1 , 1983, it has a total of _ 33880.5 miles of
county roads eligible for nnrticipatior, in the Highway Users Tax (HUT)
Fund. This mileage consists of 595.7 miles of
primary roads and 26919 miles of secondary
roads. In addition, the County has 542.02
miles of roads not.maintained in accordance with the statutes, which
are not eligible for participation in the HUT Fund.

ipation in the HUT Fund.
