RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF A PORTION
OF COUNTY ROAD 7(HIGHLAND ESTATES ANNEXATIONS#1 -#5)AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIR TO SIGN - TOWN OF MEAD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Petition for the Annexation of a Portion
of County Road 7 (Highland Estates Annexations #1 - #5) from the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, to the Town of
Mead, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, at said meeting the Board deemed it advisable to continue the matter to
June 4, 2008, to allow the matter to be considered by a full quorum of the Board, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Petition for the Annexation of a Portion of County Road 7 Highland
Estates Annexations #1 - #5) from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, to the Town of Mead, Colorado, be, and hereby
is, continued to June 4, 2008.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 28th day of May, A.D., 2008.
