RE: APPROVE VACATION OF USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT #913 - CHIKUMA
FAMILY, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated August 15, 1990, the Board approved Site Specific
Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit#913 for a Recreational Facility (gun club
and sporting clays course) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District for Mary Chikuma, do Richard
Chikuma, on the following described real estate, to-wit:
W1/2NW1/4/2N W 1/4 of Section 18,Township 1 North, Range
66 West; and the N1/2 of Section 13, Township 1
North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the current owner, Chikuma Family,
LLC, 3570 County Road 23, Fort Lupton, Colorado 80621, to vacate said Use by Special Review
Permit#913, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and statements
of those present, studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of the Department
of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this matter and, having
been fully informed, deems it advisable to approve said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Use by Special Review Permit#913 be, and hereby is, vacated.

SUBJECT: Request for the vacation of USR-913
The Department of Planning Services has received the attached letter dated October 23, 2007
received January 18, 2008 from Chikuma Family LLC. The Chikuma Family LLC is requesting
that USR-913 for a recreational facility (gun club and sporting clays course) be vacated since
the use in no longer in operation.
Background information:
Legal Description: W2 NW4 of Section 18, Township 1 North, Range 66 West and the N2 of
Section 13, Township 1 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld
County, Colorado
Location: East of and adjacent to County Road 23 and south of and adjacent to
County Road 10.
USR-913: USR-913 was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on
August 15, 1990 for a recreational facility (gun club and sporting clays
course) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District
Parcel number: 1469 13 000013, 1469 13 000012 & 1471 18 000001
The Departmetn of Plannign Services is recommending approval of the request to vacate USR-

Dear Jacqueline:
As required for Lafarge West Inc.'s AMUSR-1259 Riverbend permit, I am writing to request
that the County vacate our Use by Special Review Permit#913 for a recreational facility. The
reason for the vacation is that the use is no longer a use on the property. If you have any
questions or need additional information, please contact Steve Brown, Land Manager with
Lafarge West Inc. at 303-657-4054.
