RE: APPROVAL OF FUNDS FOR EMERGENCY SPRAYING TO CONTROL GRASS-
HOPPER INFESTATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , it has been brought to the Board' s attention that
an emergency situation exists in Weld County due to grasshopper
infestation, and
WHEREAS , it has been recommended that the Board appropriate
monies to commence roadside spraying in order to aid in ridding
Weld County of grasshoppers , and
WHEREAS , the Board, after review and study of this emergency
situation, deems it advisable to appropriate monies to commence
roadside spraying, and
WHEREAS, said monies shall not exceed the amount of $2 ,000 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that monies, not to exceed
the amount of $2 , 000 , be, and hereby are, appropriated for emer-
gency roadside spraying to aid in ridding Weld County of grass-
hoppers.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of
June, A.D. , 1984.
