Dear Commissioner Long,
Comcast Cable
8000 East Miff Avenue
Denver, CO 80231
Please find enclosed the first in a series of postcards that you will be receiving in the coming weeks.
Comcast Colorado has developed these cards to showcase our commitment to and involvement in
Colorado communities. Comcast serves an important economic development role as one of the state's
major employers, but we also believe in the importance of investing in the areas where we work and
live.
Each postcard features a real Comcast Colorado technician in an unexpected role and each
demonstrates a different aspect of how we as a company give back to our local communities:
• Financial and in -kind support of community groups throughout the state
.• Volunteerism by Comcast Colorado employees
• Green efforts to reduce electronic waste
• Free cable and Internet service offered to hundreds of Colorado schools, libraries and fire
stations
• Comcast Newsmakers programming and government access channels that allow elected
officials to communicate with their constituents
As your local Comcast government affairs contact, my email and phone number will be included on each
postcard. Please let me know if you would like additional information about any of these programs or if
there is anything else I can do to help you or our community.
Thank you,

"Comcast's Newsmakers
program opens the lines of
communication between my
constituents and me. I'm
grateful for the opportunity
to hear from the electorate about issues
I address on the program."
Colorado Senator Mike Kopp
You may know that Comcast delivers over 400 channels.
But did you also know that we offer free air time to Colorado
policymakers and community leaders?
Comcast Newsmakers is a five-minute informational program which airs at
the end of the hour on CNN Headline News. Comcast Newsmakers provides
elected officials, community and nonprofit leaders the opportunity to
communicate with their key constituents on important issues.
Additionally, Comcast's new Colorado Channel offers gavel -to -gavel
coverage of the Colorado House of Representatives - another opportunity
for elected officials to connect with the people they serve. And, in many
communities throughout the state. Comcast-provided government access
channels give citizens the opportunity to view their local governments'
council meetings from the comfort of their homes.
For more information on Newsmakers or to sign up as a guest,
