Re: SUVS 4 x 4 - SO Commanders — 3 each
I was able to review all the Sheriff's Office bids you supplied to me the week of the 5`h. I have met
with each division requesting vehicles and have the following recommendation;
The low bid for the 09 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not meet several minimum bid specs; most
importantly this vehicle contains a floor console shifter which will not accommodate our radio and
computer console.
The 2"d low bid from Lakewood Fordland does meet minimum bid specs for the 09 Ford
Expeditions EL-SSV for a total cost of $87,777 for 3 vehicles.
We recommend awarding the bid for the SUVS for the Commanders to the 2nd low bidder,
Lakewood Fordland.
The budget for this line item was $28,000 each or a total $84,000
PURCHASING NOTE:
Local bid from Spradley-Barr was 3"I low bid with a hid of $90,114 which is 2.5% greater then
Lakewood Fordland.
