However, I understand that Sara's job will be half time. I must stress a strong concern on how you came to this conclusion. Sara is a vital part of keeping 4-H running. Sara is always cheerful and readily happy to asset anyone who comes into the office. Sara always has an answer to any question and if she does not she finds the answer for you. Sara has the ability to calm the most upset person and bring them to understand why things happen and defuses any anger. Sara is in charge of the enrollment and most of the important paper work for 4-H. Sara co works on the web page news letter. Sara has a degree in English which makes her a logical fit and a tremendous asset. I would truly hate to see Sara leave and lose such an asset to 4-H and Weld County. I now need to stress a real concern on your choice of keeping Sharron as office manager. Why is an office manager needed for one and a half person? This makes no business sense. I feel Sharron has little care about the 4-H program. Repeatedly I have asked her question and have either been blown off or never received and answer. I would than have to follow up with others, like Sara to get my answers. I do not think that Sharron even has a degree which means you are removing a qualified person with a degree to keep an under qualified person. This makes me question the judgment and qualifications of my current elected officials. If Sharron is put in charge of others in the office I fear they will look for employment elsewhere. This would really affect 4-H and how it services Weld County. Have you considered if Mike will stay? If he leaves how long before we get another agent? This would put us down to a half 4-H agent for livestock. If you overwork all these talented people, how long before they all leave because they are dedicated people and want to do the best job but there isn't enough time to do it all. Then what kind of a 4-H program will we have? I know you are facing tough choices with budget cuts and trying to please everyone. I understand that your job is tough. However as an elected official you do have to do what is best for the overall constituents and think things through. I am stressing my concerns as not only a long time 4-H leader but also a voter.
